SUSTAINABILITY

We are passionately dedicated to being a responsible fashion brand with the main focus on eco-design.

Sustainability isn’t just a goal; it’s THE goal!

That’s why we embrace the magic of transformation by upcycling preowned materials such as cozy blankets, luxury bedspreads, elegant curtains and so much more.

Thus, we approach the design process by first assessing the materials we have at hand and then crafting the perfect design to suit those materials

Additionally, we rescue exquisite dead stock fabrics that would otherwise be tragically wasted.

Together, we’re creating a greener, more vibrant and fashionable world!

We also decided from now on (April 2024), every item we make will be sold with an extra piece of fabric so that repairing is always possible.

PEOPLE
StudioWunderbar equally cherishes, values and respects all its partners.  We produce in our home country The Netherlands, all items are made by myself or friends of mine in my studio. That’s an old school near the beach.

ANIMAL WELFARE
We have never used fur, exotic skins, angora, down or feathers in our collections. For quality and longevity properties, we prefer materials like cotton and wool.
We love all animals and never would use any material that implied harming them. Of course wool is an animal product but we only use preloved materials, most wool blankets we use are more than 40 years old and were cherished on some ones addict.

MATERIALS & PROCESSES
We carefully consider aesthetics, functionality, quality and the impact of our product throughout its life cycle. In our collections we only use preowned materials, preowned clothing or dead stock fabrics. The only new materials we use are all haberdasheries to secure the longevity of our products.

PACKAGING
We keep our packaging to a minimum in order to reduce waste and recycle our packing where possible. If possible, we only use recycled paper packaging. If we ship intercontinental we add a recycled plastic bag to make sure everything arrives dry and clean even after traveling for a week.
