This beauty came to life, because I couldn’t resist to buy two blankets on holiday in Mexico.
It’s not up cycled but brand new, but I bought it for a more than reasonable price (I’m bad at bargaining and a sucker for equality) at a toerist shop.
We did a burn test and found out that it’s partly natura; fibers but also some polyester.
It wasn’t enough for 2 whole coats but too much to just make one, so we decided to make the front from a vintage Dutch blanket.
We’ve given it a sleek, straight silhouette that’s effortlessly elegant, and lined it with black cotton lining. If you like it oversized, size one size up.
We made two coats out of the wall art, one in size L/40 (which is this one) and one in size M (which you can find further on the website).
