This beauty came to life, because I couldn’t resist to buy two blankets on holiday in Mexico.
It’s not up cycled but brand new, but I bought it for a more than reasonable price (I’m bad at bargaining and a sucker for equality) at a toerist shop.
We did a burn test and found out that it’s partly natura; fibers but also some polyester.
It wasn’t enough for 2 whole coats but too much to just make one, so we decided to make the front from a vintage Dutch blanket.
We’ve given it a sleek, straight silhouette that’s effortlessly elegant, and lined it with black cotton lining. We made two coats, one in size M/38 (which is this one) and one in size L (which you can find further on the website).
